Our Founders
Doxology Studios was founded by a husband and wife who have felt called to document God’s work around the world for decades.
Claire’s calling to use photography and films for God’s sake around the world became solidified while working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Photography from LSU.
She spent her first few years taking time off from her wedding photography business to travel with organizations and document the impact of church plants, orphan care, and anti-trafficking initiatives. This work led to a filmmaking role with Mission to the World, a missions organization, for 9 years. These experiences put her in front of people who had been impacted by 24 church plants across 21 countries on 5 continents.
Murray was born and raised in Scotland, but has lived in the US since 2006. His expertise in filmmaking come from over 16 years of working in the film industry across multiple disciplines. Murray wondered for years how he could use his skills for God’s kingdom around the world. Having spent numerous summers overseas serving on short-term mission trips, his eyes were opened to the work that God is doing around the world, something he longs for others to experience through films.
Murray and Claire met at a co-working space in 2016 where Murray began to help Claire with her film edits upon returning from overseas. This is how a friendship turned into a marriage in 2018. God quickly called Murray and Claire to combine their skills, experience, and heart for God’s work around the world to communicate some of the incredible things they were hearing and wanted to share with others back home.
It was from this joint calling that Doxology Studios was founded.
Together, Murray and Claire have over two decades of storytelling experience in a combined 30 countries around the globe. They feel compelled to show and tell stories of redemption in countries near and far because they’ve seen first-hand how it strengthens faith, encourages hope, and changes lives.

We are a nonprofit studio that tells redemptive stories around the world so that people will experience the hope found in Jesus.
We do this by creating videos, podcasts, and articles that bear witness to God working in and through His people from every corner of the globe.

We have several ways we discover the stories we produce.
From over a decade working with multiple denominations, indigenous church planting movements, and nonprofits, we've created a network that we regularly lean on in order to find the stories that need to be heard.
Many of the story ideas are referred to us, or come directly from ministries who have a compelling story they want told.
We work with a broad range of ministry partners involved in Great Commission work. That includes missionary sending agencies, church planting networks, nonprofits, and missionary teams.

We preserve the stories of God's Kingdom for discipleship, evangelism and education for generations to come. From the beginning of our calling, we've felt compelled to invite the Church to be an active participant in making these stories possible.
In the past we have been blessed by the privilege of inviting individuals, families, churches and businesses to help make these stories possible through other organizations and we believe in this model. In addition, many of our past projects have been funded through grants or foundations that had a story they felt compelled to make possible. This combined with a conviction that these stories should be made easily accessible and available to anyone and everyone is what has led us to a nonprofit model and structure.

We're an independent studio, so we are not directly under any particular denomination.
However, we love to work with our partners who come from a variety of denominational backgrounds that are aligned with our theological and missional convictions (ie. Lausanne Covenant)

In the early church, God provided letters as the primary means of communication. Paul and the other Apostles communicated through writing what was happening in churches abroad and these letters have been used to encourage, strengthen, challenge, and mobilize believers for centuries. In the past it was letters, and today the primary mediums we take in our information are video, podcasts, and the written word online.
Oftentimes in Paul’s letters, as he’s describing what God has done, he breaks out into a doxology - literally “glory-speech.” Throughout our years of documenting people’s stories around the world, we have experienced countless people “doxologizing”; speaking of God’s glory as they tell their story of gospel redemption in their lives.
We document and create compelling, story-driven pieces of media that show and tell people “doxologizing” their testimonies of Jesus’s love from every corner of the globe.
